Local City Fun wants to feature local community entertainment events in your neighbourhood. To provide information on available entertainment options from leisurely activities to adventurous excursions.
Local City Fun wants to keep you informed of spectator events like park concerts and baseball games as well as more energetic endeavours like aerial sports and boardsailing (not always local).
As a monthly entertainment periodical it covers local neighbourhood entertainment-oriented events in Mississauga. It comments on family events, concerts, festivals, food fun, movies, theatre, dance, art, fashion, sports, charities, churches, fitness and health, among and other mildly entertainment-oriented industries. In the future, periodicals for other cities might also be launched.
It will be the best periodical to help advertisers reach fun-seeking readers as a specific demographic. Additionally, sections will be included for children and seniors.
This site provides everything in the printed version and can be emailed to anyone.
Regarding the graphics, it avoids the clutter and crowded look of publications, generally not well designed. It looks far more appealing than other publications when found on a kitchen or restaurant table or a bus seat. It is also far more informative than all other local papers.
For the record, Local City Fun is not a newspaper, even if it appears as a newspaper product with a magazine format (the magazining of newspapers). It provides readers with information on wholesome entertainment and fun events in Mississauga.
The publication is distributed through businesses that subscribe and delivered to residential subscribers.
There are three areas for growth: 1) Increasing the number of pages; 2) Publishing more frequently (every two weeks or weekly); 3) Extending the reach geographically.
